The Partnership website

The Partnership for the Homeless – Interim Website

In 1998, the Partnership for the Homeless created its first website. By 2007, the site was outdated and, in fact, did not reflect the quality or importance of the Partnership’s work. They needed to develop a web-based identity that reflected its mission to eliminate the root causes of homelessness in New York City, and nationally. A new website would need to impress a broad range of audiences and achieve greater visibility among advocates, constituents, consumers and the general public. The Partnership also needed to use its website as an important fundraising tool—they wanted to leverage the site to attract the attention of government, corporate and foundation funders.

With a website that had almost no interactive capabilities—not even for news updates or donors to make online contributions—the Partnership desperately needed a fresh start. Fortunately for them, they secured a service grant for pro bono web redesign from a local vendor. However, due to the nature and scope of this project, the new website would take at least two years to launch. The Partnership needed a solution now!

Therefore, Schultz & Williams stepped in and developed an interim site that allows them to post the most up-to-date information, and provides opportunities for people to donate online and submit applications to become Partnership for the Homeless volunteers. The goal to develop a low-cost, interactive, temporary website in quick time was accomplished!
