February 2008– Schultz & Williams is a proud sponsor of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museum’s (MAAM) Building Museums™ 2008 Symposium taking place February 28—March 1 in Washington, D.C. This is the fourth annual Building Museums™ symposium hosted by some of Washington’s most prestigious museums, including the D.A.R. Museum, the Smithsonian’s Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. The Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums in partnership with the Association of Children’s Museums, the Association of College and University Galleries and the International Facility Management Association organizes the symposium. The event, attended by a distinguished group of museum professionals and building experts, features case studies and expert advice related to building new museums, expansions and renovations. Building Museums™ provides an exceptional venue to share information on best practices related to the construction, financing, and planning of building projects in museums and at other historical and cultural sites. "Schultz & Williams is fully invested in supporting nonprofits through our work and commitment to a wide-range of organizations," said L. Scott Schultz, President. "Museums of all shapes and sizes enrich our lives and provide exceptional opportunities for us to learn about the world around us—through history, culture, music, theatre, art, nature, play—in the most enjoyable and memorable ways. We can’t think of a better way to support the museum community than by sponsoring a symposium about expanding their capacity in our world." Founded in 1987, Schultz & Williams is a national consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today S&W works with nonprofits throughout the United States and continues to exemplify its legacy as one of the first firms in the country to combine the principles of development, management and marketing into our consulting services—an approach that proves successful for nearly every client challenge. |
