April 2008– Schultz & Williams Direct (S&W Direct) is launching a customized comprehensive direct mail donor acquisition and appeal program for Union Station Foundation located in Pasadena, California. Serving homeless individuals and families throughout the San Gabriel Valley for more than 30 years, Union Station helps them find solutions to become self-sufficient and productive. Union Station offers emergency and transitional housing, hot meals, career development, job placement, health care, case management services and substance abuse recovery support—all free of charge. This makes the need to both increase support from Union Station’s current donors and to build a new base of support top priorities for S&W Direct. To reach these goals, S&W Direct will implement a multi-channeled direct marketing fundraising campaign that is seamlessly integrated with the Foundation’s marketing platform and programs. This approach will maximize the campaign’s effectiveness as well as enhance public impressions of the Foundation’s work and cause. The inaugural plan, beginning July 1, 2008, includes multiple acquisition mailings to cultivate new donors; a mix of donor appeals and communications outreach; and the development of a mid-level giving club, which offers benefits and recognition opportunities designed to increase donor giving over time. "The opportunity to create and deliver a comprehensive donor cultivation and giving program that utilizes multi-channel mediums is a great way to showcase how Schultz & Williams’s integrated approach to fundraising, marketing and direct response works as one dynamic and effective service," Jessica Harrington, Vice President of S&W Direct, said. "We are tackling the Foundation’s challenges from every angle, and with a depth of experience and knowledge that enables us to project a successful outcome." Founded in 1987, Schultz & Williams is a national consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today S&W works with nonprofits throughout the United States and continues to exemplify its legacy as one of the first firms in the country to combine the principles of development, management and marketing into our consulting services—an approach that proves successful for nearly every client challenge. |
