Timmy's Town Center
news & events

May 2008– Schultz & Williams (S&W) proudly announces Timmy’s Town Center (TTC) as one of our newest clients. TTC is dedicated to creating a unique children’s museum in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Named in memory of Timmy Kelly, a local Scranton Pennsylvania boy who died of cancer at the age of five, Timmy’s Town Center is a vision created by his parents and supported by a Board of Directors, government officials, local businesses, educational and other community leaders. The Center is envisioned as a 16,000-square-foot museum with indoor and outdoor exhibits and classrooms; the cost to build and initially operate the facility is projected at $11.6 million. TTC seeks to raise $6 million from private funding sources through a capital campaign for which Schultz & Williams will provide counsel and support.

Over the next five months, Schultz & Williams will provide pre-campaign consulting and support for on-going fundraising efforts, carry out an internal review and background analysis to help TTC prepare for a campaign planning study, and then conduct the study to analyze TTC’s case for support and test the case on the Center’s most likely constituents.

"It is not easy to start an organization from scratch," Shirley Trauger, Vice President of Schultz & Williams, said. "Timmy’s Town founders have done a superb job in creating a highly professional plan, as well as building a profile in the community. We are looking forward to helping this family and community bring their vision to life."
