![]() January 2010–Schultz & Williams (S&W) conducts a successful integrated direct response campaign for New York Restoration Project (NYRP). To help significantly increase year-end giving from NYRP members, donors and website visitors, S&W created a matching gift campaign. This multi-channel effort was built around Bette Midler’s offer to match, dollar for dollar, all donations up to $100,000. The campaign included two direct mail pieces, an email solicitation and web support. The campaign was coordinated with the launch of the organization’s new website, where the matching gift offer was prominently displayed on the home page and visitors could see the amount of the match increasing each day. To date, the campaign has raised over $122,000 – much more than the original match amount. Because of the success, Bette Midler has increased the match and will now match all campaign donations through the end of January – a double increase for the organization! New York Restoration Project, founded by Bette Midler in 1995, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. In partnership with the City of New York, NYRP is also leading Million TreesNYC – an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees throughout New York City’s five boroughs by 2017. Founded in 1987, Schultz & Williams is a national consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today S&W works with nonprofits throughout the United States and continues to exemplify its legacy as one of the first firms in the country to combine the principles of development, management and marketing into our consulting services—an approach that proves successful for nearly every client challenge. |
