March 2009– Schultz & Williams (S&W) is pleased to announce one of our newest clients, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee located in Bradenton, Florida.

Schultz & Williams is helping Meals on Wheels PLUS create an endowment that will be funded by planned giving donations. Suzanne Seiter, CFRE and senior consultant at Schultz & Williams, is leading the project, which includes identifying prospective donors; developing a comprehensive communications plan; writing marketing and educational materials; training Board members, staff and volunteers in fundraising tactics; and drafting Board endowment policies.

Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee assists individuals to live independently by providing nutrition and caring supportive services. In 1972, Meals on Wheels PLUS was founded with one purpose in mind—to provide hot, nutritious meals to elderly and disabled residents of Manatee County. Since then, the scope of the organization has grown to include the Manatee County Food Bank and essential services to help people live independently, beyond the signature nutrition program, including: transportation, health monitoring, outreach services, volunteer programs, emergency aid assistance and adult day care.

Meals on Wheels PLUS is committed to growing its small endowment. Schultz & Williams will provide the leadership and resources to help Board and staff learn about planned giving, how it works and how to market it creatively and effectively to clients, volunteers, and key prospects, including themselves.

Schultz & Williams has a strong history of successful fundraising efforts for Meals on Wheels programs. S&W is currently providing Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWWA) in Washington D.C. with development consulting and interim staffing services and is working with St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW) in L.A., a 20-year client, by providing full-capacity direct marketing services to raise critical funds that build capacity and support the programs and services they provide.
