June 2007 – Schultz & Williams makes a big splash in Southwest Florida as sponsor of “The Board/Staff Partnership in Fundraising,” a seminar presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Southwest Florida Chapter and The Nonprofit Resource Center of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County. As Program Sponsor, S&W helped the presenting organizations bring Chuck Loring, Governance Associate for BoardSource, to Sarasota. The seminar was attended by 165 nonprofit board members, executive directors and development staff members. The following morning, Schultz & Williams hosted a “thank you” breakfast for leaders from the region’s nonprofit community who have helped Sue Seiter, S&W's Senior Consultant in Sarasota, get acquainted with the philanthropic community there. Sue has met with 40 leaders in Southwest Florida to assess the needs of the nonprofit sector. She presented her findings at the breakfast and a lively discussion of the opportunities and challenges for fundraisers in the region ensued.
