January 2004 – Schultz & Williams, Inc., a full-service development, marketing, and management consulting firm dedicated to servicing the needs of nonprofit organizations, announced the addition of Cathy Card Sterling as vice president. Sterling will represent Schultz & Williams in the Washington, D.C., region and elsewhere, serving clients in public broadcasting, arts and culture, education, and community service. Prior to joining Schultz & Williams, Sterling, a longtime resident of McLean, VA, had been vice president for development at WETA, the flagship public broadcasting station in Washington, D.C. Sterling has also served as director of development for Alexandria Country Day School; director of corporate and foundation relations for The Phillips Collection; and administrative officer and exhibitions manager at The Corcoran Gallery of Art. At Schultz & Williams, Sterling will work with nonprofit organizations on strategic planning and institutional advancement initiatives, with a focus on capital campaign planning and implementation, major gift fund-raising, planned giving, communications and Board building.
