How much does your organization know about your neighborhood, municipality, or congressional district? Policymap.com is a dynamic mapping tool that is useful for organizations who need to:

• Support grant proposals with data about education and income trends.
• Build marketing plans for new programs and services based on where target populations live.
• Make strategic decisions about facilities by reviewing real estate and commercial data.
• Understand trends that may impact demand for services over time.

These are just some of the activities that this web-based service, free for non-profits, can inform. Maps can be printed or exported for use in reports and presentations. The free datasets include Census, Business Patterns, HUD stats, HHS information, crime rates, and more.

Policymap was developed by The Reinvestment Fund, an investment group dedicated to community revitalization in the Mid-Atlantic area. Since many foundations and investors are utilizing the system to aid their decision-making, non-profits can benefit from having the same depth of understanding in order to make a stronger case for their funding needs.
