Carole W. Karsch, Senior Consultant – Since 1998, Carole Karsch has brought senior development and management experience to Schultz & Williams clients, which she serves in three key areas: interim staffing for senior development personnel, campaign and major gifts consulting, and campaign planning studies.

As a Schultz & Williams consultant, Carole has held interim staffing positions at the National Constitution Center, Lankenau Hospital, Main Line Health, Lourdes Medical System and Jewish Employment and Vocational Services. Using her expertise in individual major gifts and capital campaigns, Carole has worked with the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Astral Artistic Services, Congregation Keneseth Israel, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, University of Pennsylvania Hillel, New York Presbyterian Hospital and Lower Merion Library Foundation.

Carole has participated in campaign planning studies for the Kimmel Center, University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, WETA (Washington, DC’s public broadcasting station), Community College of Philadelphia, University of the Sciences, Wistar Institute and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. After conducting a campaign planning study for the Philadelphia Theater Company, Carole carried out volunteer and professional major gifts training for the organization and later served as interim chief development officer and then campaign consultant.

Immediately prior to joining Schultz & Williams, Carole was Assistant Executive Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. She also served 15 years in development at the University of Pennsylvania, holding the positions of Associate Director of the billion-dollar campaign and Director of Capital Giving and Gift Planning. Carole has extensive experience serving as development staff for senior administrative and volunteer leadership.

Carole holds bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and serves as a Board member of Penn’s Center for Advanced Judaic Studies. She has been on the faculty of conferences for CASE, AFP, the Center for Responsible Funding and United Jewish Appeal. She has also served on the boards of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and Gratz College and as the first female President of Har Zion Temple.
