Christina Spoegler, Senior Associate – With 20 years of development experience, Christina has expertise in raising institutional funds for capital needs, education, scientific research and environmental conservation. She has worked with zoos and aquariums, conservation organizations, museums, and institutions of higher education and the arts. Christina specializes in all types of corporate and foundation fundraising and program management, including grant writing and grants program management, development communications, corporate fundraising and development events. Since joining Schultz & Williams in 2005, Christina has provided development assistance for diverse client projects including: interim staffing and grants management services for Community College of Philadelphia; development and writing of the Philadelphia Zoo’s 150th anniversary gala program book; and capital campaign case statements for diverse organizations including the Lutheran Community at Telford, the Philadelphia Zoo, Urban Promise and Central Bucks Family YMCA. She also worked with Allegheny Valley School and the American Schools of Oriental Research in setting up fundraising programs and identifying sources of support. Before she came to S&W, Christina was Senior Director of Institutional Gifts at the Philadelphia Zoo, where she managed a complex fundraising program, raising millions of dollars from foundations, corporations and government agencies. At the Wildlife Conservation Society, Christina raised millions for exhibition, education and science programs at the Bronx Zoo and the New York Aquarium. For three years she partnered with conservation scientists from around the world to create and raise funds for major international initiatives. She has also worked for Wildlife Trust (formerly Wildlife Preservation Trust International), the Gleneayre Equestrian Program, Moore College of Art & Design, Rider University, Westminster Choir College and the Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments in Madagascar. With a BA and an MA in biology from Hofstra University and an MBA from Drexel University, Christina offers in-depth understanding of scientific subjects and organizational development. She has served as a volunteer for the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Pennsylvania Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. |
