Malini Sekhar

Malini Sekhar, Associate – Malini Sekhar uses her public and nonprofit sector experience to help S&W clients with research, communications and development. Her writing, editing, research and general consulting skills have benefited clients including The Heinz Center for Science, Economics, and the Environment (Washington, DC), Delaware County Community College (PA) and Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (Washington, DC).

She has also worked as a long-term, on-site consultant for Wills Eye Institute (Philadelphia), performing multiple development functions ranging from writing fundraising materials, supporting the creation of a strategic development plan and drafting grant proposals.

Malini’s prior experience includes working for several United States Senate offices and staffing the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. In the nonprofit sector, Malini has aided the programmatic, research, and communication efforts of national and international organizations such as Trout Unlimited, ActionAid in India and Ashoka: Innovators for the Public.

Malini holds a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a master’s degree in International Development from Brandeis University. She is a board member of the Wellesley in Philadelphia Alumnae club and works with a refugee community from Myanmar as a volunteer for HIAS & Council’s refugee resettlement program.
