Rick Biddle, Vice President – Rick Biddle brings to Schultz & Williams clients a high level of experience in finance, strategic planning, operations and fundraising. Rick supports a wide range of clients, with particular expertise in the operation of zoos and museums. He is a leading management and planning resource in the area of public/private partnerships of zoos throughout the United States.

Since 1992, Rick has developed and provided oversight for each of the strategic business plans that Schultz & Williams has completed for more than 70 AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited institutions with operating budgets of less than $1 million to well over $20 million. He has completed governance and financial plans to guide the privatization of the Dallas Zoo, Kansas City Zoo, Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle), Detroit Zoo, Houston Zoo and, most recently, the Tulsa Zoo. Other recent zoo clients include the Oregon Zoo (Portland), Hogle Zoo (Salt Lake City), Denver Zoo, John Ball Zoo (Grand Rapids, MI) and The National Elephant Center.

Rick has also led the development of strategic plans for a number of cultural attractions and green-space initiatives including Kent County Millennium Park (Grand Rapids, MI), the Fairmount Park Conservancy (Philadelphia), the Philadelphia History Museum at Atwater Kent, the Woodmere Art Museum (Philadelphia), the Battleship New Jersey (Camden, NJ) and the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (Philadelphia).

Prior to joining Schultz & Williams, Rick served for 11 years as Chief Operating Officer of the Zoological Society of Philadelphia, America’s first zoo. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University.
